In mid-June of 2001, I departed for a (mostly) solo twenty-five day roadtrip to sunny California. This website is my travelogue and scrapbook of photos and observations from my trip.

Historian and professor at Duke University, John Hope Franklin, once stated it best:

“We must get beyond textbooks, go out into the bypaths and untrodden depths of the wilderness and travel and explore and tell the world the glories of our journey.”
