Ok...so...it's official folks!

Got my pre-diploma from my university today. (A pre-diploma...because I still have to attend the stupid graduation ceremony if I want to receive the "real" one). But yeah, I just finished ripping the envelope open.

It's got my name and my degree. In big black letters. Bachelor of Arts...magna cum crapus: "We are pleased to advise you that the Senate of Simon Fraser University has approved the recommendation of the Faculty that you be awarded the degree of Bachelor of Arts."

Yay.

They printed it on thick cardstock, which they will no doubt bill me later for (the money grubbing monkeys that they are). Heck! It's even written in that nice upscale/posh looking font.

And now it's all crumpled and lying in my trash bin.

So...having "officially" graduated, I feel like I can finally answer that age old question--what did four years of post-secondary education at Simon Fraser University teach me?

Well ten things come to mind...

10. Our library sucks. Never a darn book I need in that stupid library. Go to UBC's library instead.
9. TA's (teaching assistants) can be nice. But usually they're the devil incarnate. Don't trust them further than you can throw them.
8. Don't get caught cheating. If you cheat, at least learn how to cheat smart! *Shakes head* Dumb econ students...
7. Wear knee pads. Why? Oh come on...with all that mark grubbing you'll be doing on your knees? Your knees will thank you for it.
6. Sometimes less is more.
5. Alcohol and assignments don't mix. Especially if the said assignment is due within the next 24 hours.
4. Sometimes more is more. Especially, when we're talking about bribes here.
3. Under pressure, it is physically possible to write 28 pages within 24 hours and still get an "A". So never say "impossible". Given enough stress and coffee, ANYTHING is possible...including failing so badly that they need dental records to ID your charred remains.
2. Some profs write exam questions while drunk or intoxicated on "other" substances. Prepare accordingly.
1. The school Senate is probably going to revoke my degree.

Congrats on officially graduate from SFU (aka hell hole), but you will soon fallen to anther hell hole soon (law school). After graduate from hell hole #2, you will become the devil's advocate.

Love the top ten, very accurate, although I don't really like to finish 28 pages in 24 hours. and I think alcohol and assignments should be mix.

anyhow, congrats to you again and all the best
